This week is World Water Week. 🌊

Water is critical for life on our planet and is also crucial to our business. Water impacts occur at all stages of the textile value chain, including at the consumer stage through laundering of garments which requires water, energy and detergents.

Top ApparelCN strives to be a positive force in terms of water management and to mitigate the risks linked to us, we work with Water Stewardship in partnership with WWF Since 2018, WWF in Turkey has been working to develop a model for nature conservation and sustainable use of water in the Buyuk Menderes River. The long-term goals are to improve the health of ecosystems in water and on land, while increasing the competitiveness of the region’s textile industry and cotton production. So far in the project approximately 2000 cotton farmers have been trained in more sustainable cultivation methods and the project is also testing regenerative cotton cultivation. The project also focus on influencing policies.    – Collaboration is an important part of our water strategy. Through the collaboration with WWF and other companies in Turkey, we can take a more comprehensive approach to protect the freshwater ecosystem. It is positive for nature and the local population, we see that it also strengthens our production lines and reduces our business risks linked to the use and impact on water.
